Poly-Optic® 1412 Casting Resin

Poly-Optic 1412 Casting ResinPoly-Optic® 1412 is a 1A:1B mix (by weight or volume), water-clear, Shore D80 polyurethane casting plastic that is great for making clear parts that look like water or glass. This casting resin can colored with PolyColor Dyes to produce transparent, colored castings.

This high-strength, heat-resistant, and fast-curing plastic is designed for casting in heated molds for rapid prototyping applications. It can be demolded after 30 minutes at 175°F, and, if desired, can be post cured for 16 hours at 150°F for optimum physical properties.

NOTES: Vacuum and/or pressure casting techniques are recommended for these products. Cure inhibition can occur when casting this resin in tin-cured silicone rubber molds – use a platinum-cured silicone rubber mold if working with silicones.
