PlatSil^® 71-20 Silicone Rubber is a two-part, platinum-catalyzed, liquid silicone system that cures (RTV) to a light purple, Shore A20 rubber. This is a pourable rubber, but it can be easily thickened with PlatThix Liquid Thickener or Fumed Silica for brush-on application.

A fine powder that can be added to polyurethane and silicone liquid rubbers to thicken them for brush-on/lay-up applications.

Fumed Silica

Use Silicone Color Pigments to color liquid silicone rubbers (TinSil^® and PlatSil^® rubbers).
7 colors available.

Silicone Color Pigments

Aerosol spray release agent that can be washed off of models. Can be applied to sealed or non-porous models for use with liquid silicone rubbers.
Also use to extend the mold life of silicone rubber molds when casting certain materials.
Can be applied to polyurethane rubber molds when release agent needs to be washed off of cast parts (to more easily accept paint), but the mold will degrade faster than when using Pol-Ease^® 2300 Release Agent.

Pol-Ease^® 2500 Release Agent

Add Silicone Fluid sparingly to liquid silicone rubbers (TinSil^® & PlatSil^®) to thin the mix and soften the cured rubber.
Also results in loss of strength and cure speed.

Silicone Fluid (50 cSt)

Accurately weigh Polytek rubbers, plastics and foams with a digital scale (200-lb capacity & 5,000-g capacity available).
