Polyurethane Mold Rubbers

Two-part, liquid mold rubbers that can be poured, brushed or sprayed to make molds that cure at room temperature. They are the most versatile, easy-to-use and cost-effective mold materials available. Polyurethane rubbers are popular for making molds to cast concrete, wax, plaster and, in some cases, resin. Learn more…

Silicone Mold Rubbers

Two-part, room-temperature curing silicone rubbers that offer great flexibility, tear strength, chemical resistance, and release properties. Both tin-cured (condensation cured) and platinum-cured (addition cured) liquid silicones are available. Silicone molds are sometimes preferred over polyurethane rubbers because release agent is not required when casting polyurethane resins and foam, epoxy resins, and polyester resins, among other casting materials. Latex Mold Rubbers

Natural Latex mold rubbers are one-part rubbers for creating thin, strong brushed molds. Poly Latex 60 is commonly used to make molds for ornamental precast concrete and plaster statuary casting. Latex False Face is used to make novelty masks by pouring into plaster molds.

Since individual coats of latex must dry before further application, mold making may take days or longer to complete properly. Consider polyurethane rubber for faster-paced mold making. Learn more…
